The SolarXtreme 500 draws 400w and covers 4' x 4' — 16 square feet — across all phases of the growing cycle. California LightWorks publish the useful version of a coverage claim: 500 PPFD at 24" from the canopy, 800 PPFD at 18".
The design choice that defines it is the absence of a driver. It uses chip-on-board LEDs on direct AC drive, so there is no separate driver box to hang, heat up or fail. The whole unit is 18" x 8.5" x 4" and 11 lbs.
Heat output is given as 1280 BTU and maximum current as 3.3A @120v — two numbers most makers leave out, and both of them things you need before you size an extraction fan or load a circuit.
