MASTER Agro 400W HPS

The MASTER Agro 400W is a high-pressure sodium lamp from Philips, catalogued as MASTER Agro 400W E40 1SL/12 under order code 928144609201. It screws into an E40 socket, uses a T46 bulb with an 83 mm arc, runs at a lamp voltage of 128 V and draws 430.0 W. Philips rates it at 130 lm/W and 2000 K with a CRI of 20, and quotes 18,000 hours to 50% failures.

This is a bare lamp, not a fixture: it needs a ballast and a reflector, and it cannot be dimmed. Burn position is universal, so vertical and horizontal reflectors both work.

At 2000 K it sits at the warm end of the HPS range, which is where a flowering room wants it. Treat it as a consumable — 18,000 hours is a run schedule, not a lifetime.
