Cuts
Athena Cuts is a water-based rooting gel containing indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), a synthetic auxin plant hormone that stimulates rapid root initiation and development in cuttings and clones. The gel format ensures the active compound coats the cut stem surface evenly and stays in place during the cloning process, providing continuous hormone exposure at the cutting site.
To use: take a clean cutting from a healthy mother plant, scrape the bottom centimeter of stem lightly to expose the cambium, dip into Athena Cuts gel, then immediately place into your preferred cloning medium (rockwool, peat plugs, coco, or aeroponic cloner). The rooting hormone triggers cell differentiation at the cut site, accelerating the formation of root primordia within days rather than weeks.
The water-based formula is cleaner and easier to work with than alcohol-based gel alternatives. The squeeze bottle format allows precise application without contaminating the entire container. Compatible with all cloning methods and systems. Made by Athena Ag, Los Angeles â part of their complete cultivation product range.
