Coco Clay

Ecothrive Coco Clay is a pre-blended growing medium combining 40% coco coir with 60% expanded clay pebbles, pre-mixed with Ecothrive Charge insect frass at the ideal 1% concentration. The 40/60 ratio creates a highly aerated, fast-draining medium specifically designed for hydroponic flood-and-drain systems, DWC, and high-frequency automated irrigation setups where drainage and oxygenation are the primary requirements.

The higher clay pebble percentage (compared to 70/30 coco/perlite mixes) provides maximum drainage and air space in the root zone, reducing the risk of overwatering in systems that irrigate frequently. The coco component retains sufficient moisture between irrigations to prevent roots drying out. The pre-blended Charge provides an immediate biological boost from the frass chitin content.
