Barley

Living Soils Barley is a barley straw or barley seed product from Living Soils, an organic cannabis growing brand, used in living soil and no-till cultivation as an organic matter input and cover crop option. Barley has been used by organic growers for soil improvement for centuries — the grain and straw contribute organic carbon, stimulate biological activity, and when used as a living cover crop, provide continuous root exudates that feed soil biology.

Barley grain can also be fermented using Korean Natural Farming (KNF) techniques to create fermented plant juice (FPJ) — a concentrated biostimulant. The straw provides carbon-rich mulch for the soil surface.
