Perlite

PRO-MIX Perlite is a horticultural perlite made from expanded volcanic glass, used to improve drainage and aeration in soil or as a standalone component in growing media. It is pH neutral, sterile, and inert, meaning it doesn’t interact with nutrient solutions or affect soil chemistry.

Add perlite to soil or coco mixes to increase macro-pore space, allowing excess water to drain quickly and oxygen to reach the root zone between waterings. Standard additions range from 20–30% by volume for most cannabis applications, though coco/perlite blends often go higher.

Perlite is essential for growers aiming to prevent overwatering and maintain a healthy, aerobic root environment throughout the grow cycle. It’s suitable for any nutrient program and works well with soil, coco, or hydroponic systems.
