Cal Mag

VitaLink CalMag is a calcium and magnesium supplement with added iron — a formulation that addresses the three most commonly co-occurring secondary and micronutrient deficiencies in cannabis. Calcium and magnesium are essential for growth and photosynthesis respectively; iron is added because it often becomes limiting during extended vegetative growth or when pH fluctuations occur.

The calcium in CalMag is immobile once deposited in plant tissue — plants cannot relocate it to new growth, which means there must be a continuous supply available at the root zone throughout the grow. Magnesium and iron are also commonly deficient in systems using RO water, soft water, or coco coir, making CalMag a useful preventive addition to many feeding programs.
