Clay Coir Mix

VitaLink Clay Coir Mix is a pre-mixed growing medium combining coco coir with clay pebbles (expanded clay) in proportions designed to balance moisture retention with drainage and aeration. Clay pebbles provide structural support, large air spaces for root oxygenation, and fast drainage after watering. Coco coir holds moisture between irrigations and provides a substrate for root attachment.

This mixed medium suits growers who want the oxygenation benefits of clay pebbles with better water retention than clay alone — useful for hand-watering schedules where the medium dries out too quickly with straight clay pebbles. The coco component also creates a more hospitable environment for beneficial microorganisms compared to inert clay.
