Atomic NL Regular

Atomic NL Regular is Dr. Atomic Seeds' house version of Northern Lights, a line the British Columbia breeder has worked since the 1980s and also lists as Atomic Northern Lights. The breeder describes it as a selection from the Northern Lights #5 family that is mostly indica but carries a sativa component of roughly 14–20%, and the Seedfinder lineage tree records Hawaiian genetics on that side; Leafly, by contrast, files it as a Northern Lights and Afghani recross. Plants are short and stocky with tight internodes, and growers describe dense, resin-coated buds and unusually little odour in the grow room. The seeds are sold as regular, non-feminized stock.

Consumers describe a quick, clear head rush that settles into a heavy, tingling body effect, with the sativa fraction giving the high more lingering complexity than a pure Afghani Northern Lights. Growers on forums call it a good stone rather than an outright couch-lock, so it works for evening use as well as relaxed afternoons. Leafly lists THC at about 16% with only trace CBD, while GrowDiaries cites 19%; the breeder has not published lab results.

The aroma is described as spicy pine and hash with a skunky, faintly citrus edge, and the taste as sweet and smooth. Leafly reports terpinolene, myrcene and pinene as the leading terpenes. Dr. Atomic rates it as easy to grow: an 8-week flowering period, a compact frame that suits sea of green and screen of green setups, and up to about 125 g per plant indoors.
