Baghlan Hashplant IBL

Somewhere in a remote mountain village of Baghlan province, in the Hindu Kush of northern Afghanistan, farmers have pressed hash from the same plant population for generations. Khalifa Genetics obtained this line from that village and reproduces it as an inbred landrace, deliberately left unaltered, offered strictly as regular seeds — a feminised version has never existed. The plants are visually striking for an Afghan variety: dark-toned foliage that frequently shifts to deep red or near-black as maturity approaches, on a classic broad-leaf hashplant frame.

No laboratory figures have been published for THC or CBD, and formal effect reports remain scarce; buyers should expect the moderate potency and heavy, settling body effect typical of true Afghan hash cultivars rather than modern hybrid numbers. Anecdotally the line tends towards relaxed, sleepy evenings, which is precisely what centuries of selection for hashish would predict. It appeals most to preservation growers, hash makers and smokers of traditional imports.

The breeder describes the smell as intense and unmistakably old school — pungent, earthy and spicy in the manner of freshly worked resin. Growing it is refreshingly simple: the line is very mould-resistant, thrives in poor soil, wants minimal fertiliser and finishes what the breeder calls a fast flowering cycle, though exact weeks are not published. Resin output is the point here, so growers planning sieved hash or other extractions will get the most from it.
