Freeze Cup

Freeze Cup is a Team Elite Genetics cross of Fuzzy Melon and Styrofoam Cup #1, released by the Southern California breeder and cultivator in 2024. Styrofoam Cup, Cannarado's Sunset Sherbet x GMO cross that Team Elite Genetics pheno-hunted to a second-place finish at the 2022 High Times SoCal Cup, contributes the gassy funk, while the Fuzzy Melon side brings a fruit-punch sweetness. Team Elite Genetics has not published the parentage of Fuzzy Melon. Consumers describe it as a smoother, less overwhelming take on Styrofoam Cup.

The breeder labels Freeze Cup a 50/50 hybrid, and reports line up with that: consumers describe a cheerful, imaginative and slightly spacey head high with creativity and focus up front, followed by a gentle body relaxation that becomes sedating at higher doses. One reviewer called it a medium-strength daytime buzz that can be overstimulating late at night, so it suits daytime or early evening use in modest amounts. A dispensary listing shows 27.5% THC; CBD is not reported.

The breeder lists beta-myrcene, delta-limonene and beta-caryophyllene as the dominant terpenes. The aroma is loud: a fruit-punch sweetness that reviewers liken to canned Hawaiian Punch, layered over cookie dough and a burnt-rubber funk, and the flavour is described as melon sherbet with a clean, smooth exhale. Team Elite Genetics sells Freeze Cup as flower, not seeds, and has not published flowering time, height, yield or difficulty. Its Sherbet, GMO and melon parentage points to a medium-difficulty hybrid grow well suited to a controlled indoor room.
